What's included in an autism evaluation?

Your evaluation is broken up into four phases and includes:

  1. A 120-minute MIGDAS-2 clinical interview
  2. An additional measured autism assessment
  3. A 30-to-45-minute feedback session
  4. A written report covering all our findings

Combined Autism and ADHD Evaluation

What's included in an Autism and ADHD evaluation?

Your evaluation is broken up into five phases and includes:

  1. A 120-minute MIGDAS-2 clinical interview
  2. An additional measured autism assessment
  3. A continual performance test for ADHD - QB Check
  4. A 30-to-45-minute feedback session
  5. A written report covering all of our findings

When do we recommend signing up for an evaluation?

Around 50% of individuals with autism also present symptoms of ADHD. That's why we offer combined autism and ADHD evaluations for adults. Our combined evaluations cost $1,600. The entire process should only take about two and a half hours, plus a 30-minute feedback session.

What is the MIGDAS-2?

The MIGDAS-2 is a comprehensive approach to diagnosing autism spectrum disorder that incorporates neurodivergent language. Developed by licensed psychologist Marilyn Monteiro, MIGDAS-2 utilizes a sensory-based interview process. We'll follow structured guidelines for gathering information on behavior in various settings.

This approach helps us create a detailed behavioral profile that supplements your assessment scores, enabling us to provide an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan.

Policies

  • A deposit is required to book a comprehensive evaluation. This is a non-refundable deposit.
  • If appointments are not canceled 24 hours in advance then the evaluation will be billed at the hourly rate of $170/hour.
  • Complex evaluations may require more time, which will be billed at the hourly rate of $170/hour.
  • Arriving late to an evaluation may result in additional time needed and additional charges.


Payment

  • Most insurance companies will not cover autism evaluations. We are self-pay only because of this. However, we can provide you with a super bill. You can submit this to your insurance and may have some costs of testing covered. You will need to check your out-of-network benefits.


Our Approach

We have chosen assessments that are neurodivergent affirming. They go beyond traditional testing and assess for symptoms that might not be caught on a self-report, or symptoms that present more hidden.

We are passionate about providing neurodivergent affirming evaluations. This means that we do not pathologize and we do not see symptoms as deficits. We evaluate for strengths, finding that to be an imperative part of the written report. Our evaluators are neurodivergent and understand what it is like to go through the evaluation process. We want to make it as comfortable and affirming as possible.
