Carrie as a Supervisor
I specialize in trauma and LGBTQIA+ issues and have worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I have been working in the mental health field for 7 years and decided to become a supervisor because I wanted to be able to help guide younger counselors. I find supervision to be a collaborative experience and work hard to meet my supervisee's needs. I am also trained in brain-spotting and am always trying to educate myself on new modalities or ways to approach therapy.
I primarily come from a humanistic, psychodynamic, and person-centered, but flow into other theories. I am emotion-focused and work with attachment theory and parts in much of my counseling. I can help navigate the inpatient psych world, and the outpatient world having experience in both. I started our business with my co-owner so have experience starting and practicing, navigating insurance, and many of the ins and outs of private practice. If you are interested in a consultation please reach out.
