Renita Patel, MS, APC

Life can sometimes feel like one big puzzle that we are constantly trying to piece together. We often lose our sense of self as we attempt to create the beautiful picture. My goal in working with you is to restore balance back to your life and help you feel more grounded.

I specialize in maternal mental health, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, and multicultural issues. It is important to me that you find the best therapist for you! I am laid-back, approachable, often humorous, but mainly kind. I work from a person-centered therapy approach because I believe that therapy is your journey, and I am simply here to help guide you the best I can. Together, with a strong therapeutic relationship, we can work together to create the you, for you!

I look forward to hearing from you and hope to be part of your mental health journey!

I am currently seeking full licensure and while doing so I am under the supervision of Kristen Faircloth, and direction of Carrie Gensler.

A little bit more about me

I grew up in Tennessee and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. I worked in corporate healthcare for 10 years before leaving to go after something more meaningful! I attended Mercer University for my master’s degree in clinical mental health and have never looked back.

Random facts about me: I am first generation Indian American. I can understand the delicate nature of being a child of an immigrant family and the complexities that come with it. My love language is that of Thai food and coke zero. I am a big Georgia football fan, Go Dawgs! Lastly, I believe therapy is serious stuff but that doesn’t mean we can’t incorporate humor and fun too!
