I take a client-centered approach, combining multiple modalities to best fit the client and the issues at hand. My most common approaches are CBT, emotion-focused, mindfulness-based, and narrative therapy. When working with relational issues, I often lean on attachment theory to help clients understand their core wounds and learn how to process and heal from them to enter into safe and healthy relationships in the future.
I graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine with a Master of Family Therapy degree. I previously obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Mercer University in Macon, GA. During my graduate studies, I interned at two private practices, as well as the Mercer University Family Therapy Center. Since graduating, I have worked at two group practices in the Atlanta area. I have experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds, specifically with issues regarding relationships, life satisfaction, anxiety, and depression. In addition, I have worked with LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous relationships. I am currently in the process of becoming licensed in the state of Georgia. I am under the supervision of Carrie Gensler, LPC (license: LPC011127), and under the direction of Kristen Faircloth, LPC.

Psychotherapist
Are you going through a breakup or trying to return to the dating game? Does anxiety get in the way of completing tasks or hold you back from opportunities? Are you struggling to find a safe space to share your emotions or feel so overwhelmed with the responsibilities of life that it's hard to know where to start? If your answer to these questions is yes, I may be a good fit for you.
We don't always grow up learning the skills needed to deal with anxiety, relational issues, or just life in general. Sometimes, it's so difficult to regulate our emotions that we cannot pause to find the best solutions to our problems. We try to balance everything in our lives (staying healthy, doing well in school/work, maintaining relationships), but we often feel like it's impossible. As a therapist, I can help you recognize dysfunctional patterns and rewire your unhelpful thoughts. I strive to make clients feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics by extending empathy, respect, and. I believe it is important to feel heard and understood in a non-judgmental environment. I help people deconstruct their presenting problems and come up with alternative methods to cope and find solutions for both short-term and long-term issues.
